I attempted to install my new cpu (i5-7500 LGA 1151) to replace my old (i3-6100 LGA 1151). I followed the install manual to the T. Booted up pc and no image was displaying. Checked all cables, removed cmos, unplugged all wires from the motherboard. Tried running with 1 ram stick, tried displaying off of GPU (gtx 1060 3gb) and the motherboard (MSI, H110M Pro-D, Yes I checked the manufacturers list to see if new cpu was compatible) nothing worked. Re-installed the original cpu to see if that one worked and to determine if their was an issue with the cpu or the system itself. Old CPU worked fine, no issues. Tried different ports (HDMI, DVI, Displayport). I cannot think of anything else, I was thinking maybe it's faulty. So before I return it, does anyone have some ideas?
