Hi,
i just bought a RTX 2070 for my "old" GTX 1060 6GB. I expected that my fps in games like Fortnite and CoD would increase by a lot, which it doesnt. My fps are nearly the same and i'm experiencing the same stutter and spikes as before. Dont get me wrong, i'm able to play at 144 fps (capped) most of the time, but dropping below 100 fps is just annoying if you're used to 144hz.
My CPU usage is at 60-80 % but goes up to 100 % for seconds when many things are going (big fights etc.). The temperature stays at 60-70% and never goes any higher.
My question is: Is it my CPU which ist limiting me here ?
I play most of the games on low settings for maximum perfomance and tried everything to optimize my pc. I already reinstalled windows and tried different drivers.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17763)
Mainboard: H110M PRO-D
BIOS: 2.B2 (type: UEFI)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
