My son and I built our first budget computer Jan 2018 (see below) and although its working fine, for my Christmas present I'm doing some upgrades. I think my RX 480 8G and the 16G of ram is more than enough for my 1080p gaming.

I really want to upgrade my G4560 to an i5 or i7 and this is where I need some advice. I'll be looking to buy a used CPU and preferably a CPU that is a few years old so I get the power upgrade but at a good price. I'll be selling my G4560 on this forum (classified section) or eBay. It looks like around £50 is a reasonable figure so I'll add a £100 to give me a £150 budget. Any ideas on a used CPU that will give me a significant boost for around the £150 mark?

I will buy a cooler as well for this new i5 or i7 for around £20-ish on Amazon as my G4560 just has the stock cooler that came with it and it will be sold along with the G4560.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.......

Edit: I will not be overclocking...
