[SOLVED] Is my motherboard dead?

Hi, so yesterday I received a motherboard online that I’ve purchased from eBay, it being the P8Z77-V LX. I was very excited to swap everything from my Dell motherboard over to this one to try overclocking for the first time (as I have an i5-2500K), but unfortunately, it did not power on. I’ve tried nearly everything, including; Taking the motherboard out of the case.
Trying a different PSU.
Removing most of the RAM.
Unplugging everything but the 24-pin connector.
Using a different CPU.
Replacing the CMOS battery.
Reconfiguring the CPU plugs, etc.

Even trying to shorten the power switch prongs does absolutely nothing. No fan movement, sound, or any of that. The only thing I notice is the glowing standby power light, so I know that this board is functional to a degree- I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’ve lost tons of sleep over this, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Note; I’ve also tried hooking it up to a different case, but to no avail. Also, all the lights on the motherboard work. The GPU boost switch lights up perfectly fine if clicked up.

Hi, I apologize for the very late response as I’ve figured out my issue- one if my RAM slots was dead and prevented me from posting. I was idiotic and simply forgot to boot my system with any other slot on the motherboard, so my system is working perfectly now. Thank you!

Did you try to power on the motherboard out of the case on a non-conductive surface like static paper, glass, cardboard, etc. Grounds are common and this is the best way to test for one. If you have already tried to power on like this then yes your motherboard is likely dead. Wasn't sure by out of the case in your post if you just remounted it or not.
