Hi All,
I am a longtime laptop user and in a midst of building my FIRST PC EVER. I have an Asus XG258 monitor so to utilize freesync I decided to go for an AMD build. This PC will be mainly for gaming; currently on WW2, Battlefield 5 & RDR2 while I do casually play PUBG & CSGO. Due to limitation of the monitor, I am only able to play these games at 1080p so am not going to play them at higher resolution at the moment. Just so you know all components of the PC has been bought so I will be stuck with them for quite some time before I can upgrade anything. Below are the list:
MOBO: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero
GPU: Asus ROG Vega 64
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3200mhz
Case: Corsair 500D
Cooler: Corsair H150i
PSU: Corsair RM750x
So, the questions are:
1) I know this may sound stupid but in order to optimize the performance of this PC without harming the lifespan of the hardwares (not planning to spend any more money for at least 3-4 years), should I OC them? Again as mentioned above I will only play the games at 1080p so is it worth to OC?
2) If yes, realistically will there be a huge noticeable differences than stock/default settings of the hardwares? And what will be the recommended setting in the BIOS ie. voltage, temperature, CPU/GPU/RAM speed.
