If you are all out for gaming and best FPS, then Intel...If you want very good gaming and a lot more value, then AMD....both are great options and allow you to buy a CPU at all price points from value to high end and everything in between....It is very hard to buy a bad CPU now a days!!!

Intel is generally better for gamers and AMD better for productivity but Intel won't be bad for productivity either and it generally runs cooler. However AMD is known better for being value for money as it is cheaper per core
