I was trying to enable AHCI on my SSD, by following the steps on the first comment in this post.

I only made it to step 6, then the PC crashed or something happend. Now when I start the PC I get to automatic repair, and can't boot Windows anymore. I can't even get Windows to boot in safe mode.

The logfile in automatic repair says "F:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\SrtTrail.txt".

I have googled the message and tried every potential "fix" (most of them in cmd) there is for it. But nothing works.

Sorry for creating a new post about this instead of commenting the original post, but its looks dead, and I need help fast.

So, if I could get help that would be fantastic.

Thanks!

Hold on there, the only reason you need to do what you were doing is if you installed a disk under ATA/IDE/Legacy mode and then want to change the BIOS to AHCI. You don't just go through all those steps in the post just because you feel like it. The BIOS setup for the drive must be set to AHCI, if you did not change anything in the BIOS there is no need to do anything. Since you were messing with so much stuff on the disk, best thing to do is stop before you do end up wiping out your data.

Yes I know I might have to, but I really hope I wont need to. I have so much that I need saved on it (yes I know I should have saved it before I tried to enable ACHI). I have schoolprojects that I have not saved to and external HDD and so on...
I really did not think anything like this could happen. And I cant find anyone this have happend to.

Take out the drive, using an external USB enclosure copy your files. Once your files and bookmarks, whatever you need are backed up (which they should have been already, so next time, do backups), put the disk back in the computer, start the Windows setup, delete all partitions on it, and run a clean Windows setup. Seems like you also managed to kill the recovery partition so you may want to contact the computer vendor to see if there is a way to get the system restored as they had it with a recovery partition.
