Hello,
I have the opportunity to buy a complete system for €350 in order to replace my current system. My question is whether it is worth it or not.
Details of the current setup:
i7-950 @3.33Ghz
8 GB RAM Triple Channel
500 GB SSD
1 TB 7200 rpm
GTX 1060 6GB
System I am considering buying (used):
i7-3930k
24 GB RAM Quad channel
250 GB SSD + 2 TB
GTX 780
Obviously, I would like to merge both and have:
i7-3930k
25 GB RAM
500 GB SSD + 2 TB
1060 6GB
Do you think:
1) this is worthwile?
2) how much could I obtain by selling the used parts (250 GB SSD, 1 TB HD, GTX 780)
Important note:
I use my system for more than gaming (I often need to run simulations that require several cores of my machines), hence my decision to consider a 6C/12T and 24GB RAM rather than 4C/8T and 8GB RAM.
