Hi guys, I would like to know if the "Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard" is any good at running the Ryzen 2700X, or if another board is better than this. This board is around £120. I don't mind being recommended that a 470X would be better.
Also, is a 2700X overkill for gaming, I would like 60fps full graphic gaming in most games, will this setup get me this with a GTX1070 8Gb OC?
Thanks.

Solution
Frankly, for gaming you'd be just as well off with 2600x so B450 would be a good match. If you look forward in time, 2700x matched with good x470 MB and fast RAM is the way to go, would be actual much longer.

Thanks, do they have a good over clocking system? Is the voltage input stable and all that sort of thing.

Thanks,
Thomas

Yes, on average multipliers are unlocked and voltages adjustable by direct entries and +/- offsets. DOCP works OK to sync with XMP profiles for RAM. For Ryzen X models there's automatic PBO that boosts for best performance automatically and practically renders manual OC unnecessary.
