Hello! I built my PC in 2012 and have replaced most of the parts since then.

Last month it stopped powering on at all. No fans, nothing. I troubleshoot by replacing the PSU first, no dice. So I replaced the MoBo. No dice. So now I have a new MoBo and PSU and the fans wont even start to spin up. Nothing on monitor, its like it cant tell I even hit the power button.

My case is the oldest part of my PC.

Anyways, any advice? I took it down to 1 RAM stick, tried with no drives, tried with no GPU, nothing is even happening.

Thanks in advance for any help

Edit: More info - Did not replace CPU, it should still try to boot with a bad CPU, no?

Old PSU was 950, new one is 750. Both should be way more than enough for the CPU, a GTX 670, a sound card, small water cooler for cpu, 2 hdd, 1 sdd and 1 disk drive. Right?

I tried using the reset switch instead of the power switch and got the same result. Zero reaction from any fans, even ones directly powered by the PSU. Very strange?

Have you switched the on/off switch on the back of the PSU? Maybe the contacts to the power button are shot so there isn't connectivity when you push it. Have you tried plugging in to different receptacles in the house? Make sure all the connections are tight as well.

Thanks for suggestions so far, seems like it's not the power switch, wired reset button to the power switch pins and still couldnt get a reaction.

If CPU died what would happen when booting?
