[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 2600x Temp w/ stock cooler

Is this bad? I used the ryzen 5 1400 stock cooler with the ryzen 5 2600x. I get 80 C when playing rainbow six siege and 45-55 C when I surf the web.

I didn't install the wraith cooler because when I tried to screw it in, the rest pops up

It seems a little trippy with the b350m a motherboard, since I need to push down upon the cooler, but I hear a cracking noise and it gets bendy when I put force on the motherboard. I've seen other people have this issue with the wraith cooler and their motherboard.

Really should be using 2600x's cooler as it's designed to dissipate the extra heat 2600x produces compared to the 1400.

The raising up/crackling might be the backplate moving as with video at 4:40.

Do you have access to the back of the board to hold the backplate?

Yes, I do have access to the backplate. When I screw in 2:
1 3
4 2
1,4,3 doesn't touch the screws at all

Take the motherboard out, remove the back plate if one is attached, on a wooden or solid table top [put some card board or heavy paper underneath to keep from bending pins - should not happen, but may if not protected], install the cooler, replace motherboard.

I have done this many times.

I had installed the cooler finally!
All I had to do was to put a lot of pressure. At that point I didn't really care about my motherboard.

Did you hold the backplate at all? and does your Computer work with decent temperatures after?

Yep, I did hold the backplate and I'm getting reasonable temperatures without adding thermal paste. :pt1cable:
