Hello guys,

I recently built a new pc, however when playing games it freezes very frequently forcing a hard reset.

I suspected it may be a overheating issue as it takes longer to freeze when I take the side panel off of the case, however when the pc freezes, my temps aren't that hot (70ish GPU, 60-65 CPU depending on the game).

I have a 520w seasonic PSU so it should be more than enough to power an rx 570.

Are you using a new AMD driver? Try using an older AMD gpu driver. The latest ones are buggy. Do a clean uninstall using DDU or the AMD uninstall tool.
On my older 3770k machine, I had to go into Windows 10 power settings and uncheck fast start. I had a lot of start up programs. For some reason, it tried to load everything at once and overwhelmed itself. Lol, I know it sounds weird but slowing it down helped me to identify programs I didn't need starting up and updating.

Some games (including Steam games) as a courtesy to the gamer, likes to remember your game settings. This is a good thing. But sometimes an old setting doesn't work in a new rig. Or worse, sometimes the game will remember a crash like a game setting and program it back into the game. Just make sure to write down your game settings as they will be gone.
Hope this helps.
