If i understand correctly, when overclocking, the temps go up because you increase the voltage? If that's the case, if i only go let's say from 3,4 GHz to 3,5 or 3,6 GHz on my ryzen 1700x and i manage to do that without increasing the voltage, will my temps increase or not?

Solution
test it out yourself. set a vcore of whatever number. see what the temps are with 15 minutes of prime95 version 26.6. then leave vcore the same and change frequency to 3.7.

no changing frequency alone does not affect temps. if your voltage is set to auto though it will increase the voltage automatically and youll get higher temps from the increase in voltage. but if you set a fixed voltage and up the frequency from 4 to 5 to 6 ghz, there will be no temp increase

This is not true if you change the clock speed it allows the proccesor to render faster resulting in higher temperatures.
