Im thinking about about upgrading to i5-9600k, and my question is: Is it good for video editing? I know it handles gaming well, but I also like to edit videos 1080p 60fps with vegas, so I kinda need good time line editing and decent rendering speed. Im currently using i5-4460 and I can tell that it's not good with editing. Im also thinking about 2700x, but not sure if it can handle 144fps gaming in medium settings 1920x1080p, since I have a 144hz monitor. All answers are appreciated!

Going from 3.5Ghz quad core to 3.7Ghz 6-core will help everything you do.
The 2700x is a 3.7Ghz 8-core chip that also performs very well.
I don't believe you can go wrong with either processor but here is a direct rendering performance link.
