[SOLVED] HDD Gaming PC BUILD VS SSD ONLY

Hey guys,

I am curious on what to do about my i7-9700k RTX 2070 Gaming PC I am in the middle of. I have been advised by a few different people to take different routes. Should I stick with the conventional way of having a 1TB HDD and a 256g SSD. Or just get a 1TB SSD from the jump and install everything on the SSD. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you very much!!

Hi, I'd start with a 1TB SSD and add an HDD later, if needed.

Go for the higher capacity SSD. You can add a spare HDD in the future.

So I shouldn't just get the SSD for my OS and Applications and use HDD for my game and video storage. It is better to just use a large capacity SSD from the start and install everything on that? I was told it may slow start up speeds if everything is on the SSD....sorry for my ignorance, trying to make best educated decision possible

I run my os and games on the SSD and keep all of my music, video and documents on the HDD. As long as you don't fill the SSD up more than 80%, it shouldn't affect performance.
