Why does my Grand Theft Auto 5 have bad graphics?

Hello Everyone,
I have had a problem for a while and I have done everything I could think of. Now when I say I have bad graphics, I mean it looks like my GTA V is running on the GTA IV engine. So pretty much my GTA V looks like GTA IV and I don't really know how to fix this. If anyone know how to fix this please let me know!

Is this something that just happened? If so, have you done any driver/windows updates before this started happening?
If yes, rollback on drivers & restore to an earlier point on your PC before the windows update.

I am very new to PC gaming so I am not very sure what the specs on my computer are. Also, it started as soon and I started the game for the first time.

you improve it by increasing the graphics settings, but that depends on what your PC specs are

i understand but without PC specs we cannot tell if your PC is powerful enough to have better graphics in that game. the game may have automatically scnned your PC and those are the best settings according to them.

is your PC a desktop or laptop?

make sure you plug the monitor to the gpu and not the motherboard output

Search your computer for a program called, "dxdiag". If you're running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10, there should be a search option in the task bar at the bottom of your screen. Click there and type, "dxdiag". Once the program is found, go ahead and run it. Watch the green progress bar in the lower left corner of the window. When that disappears, click the "Save All Information" button to a place on your computer. This creates a "DXDIAG.TXT" file which will list the details of your computer. Copy and paste the contents of that file into a reply here.
