Hallo,

TL;DR at the bottom

Recently I've transferred my components to a Mini-ITX case and built another computer with the leftover ATX motherboard and some new parts. It worked fine for say a week and then yesterday the screen cut off under moderate load and the computer wouldn't shut down using the case power button. Now, whenever I start up the computer, the motherboard lights turn on, the case power backlight does not turn on, and the CPU debug light turns on. There's no video output and no beeps, but the fans do come on.

I've tried reseating the CPU and stock cooler, the graphics card, and the RAM. Whenever I do this, the only debug light that comes on is the CPU light even when other components are not connected. I've even reconnected the power cables without any luck.

TL;DR:
No boot, CPU light comes on, worked fine previously for around a week.
All the fans come on too.

Parts

Motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk (911-7A34-006)
GPU: MSI GTX 1060
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600x
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3000MHz

Any ideas? could this mean a motherboard failure? and if so, what caused it?

Thanks,
Max
