Hiby R3 and SD Card issue...

I've been trying desperately to add FLAC and MP3 files to two different SD cards for use in my Hiby R3 digital audio player. But every single time I try (and with two different SD cards), most of the folders I have added end up as "empty folders". But when I view the drive in "This PC" it's as if they're still there, or at least they're taking up the exact amount of space the folders and files are supposed to. Both of the cards are legit; one is a 256gb Samsung Evo and the other is a 256gb DBQSST card. I've used two different programs to check the cards; both are good. I even bought a USB card reader tonight; I put the SD cards in it instead of transferring the files with the cards inside the Hiby. It has not helped, and at this point I think it's my computer itself that's causing the problem. Hiby themselves has no record of anyone else who's had this issue, as I was speaking online with them tonight as well.

At this point, I'm at a total loss and cannot figure out any solution to this. Can you guys here on the forum help me with this?

You might try reformatting the cards before you try transferring the files

If that player can be connected to a PC, try copying files thru the player, not directly on the SD. You may also want to try smaller (32gb or less) SD card.

Well, jve tried that as well. It happens whether using an SD card reader or if the card is in the player. The R3 is supposed to support cards up to 2tb (though I've certainly never even seen a single terabyte sd card, lol).

Well, it did get solved...but it wasn't solved the way I imagined or even wanted. It turns out that BOTH of those cards I believed were legit were fake. I ended up purchasing one more card (from Best Buy, off the rack and in person) just to see if anything changes. This time. I was able to transfer all of my FLAC and MP3 files to the R3 with no issue; all files transferred just fine whether they we're in the Hiby or a card reader. I'd wager that it's your SD cards, unfortunately. If they were purchased online, maybe you can return them for a refund? I hope so. Good luck with this; the R3 is actually a damn good player once you can use it, lol.

Also, I used a program called Fake Flash Test to check the cards; it's much, much quicker than H2Testw or any other testing program I tried.

I had not thought about the possibility that the Sd was defective and, really, I think that could be the problem there. Thank you very much for your help, which has been very useful for me.
