I have an i5 2400 cpu. I have connected it to an hd monitor, however even though it says that the cpu has hd it only reaches 1280x1024(with 1024x768 as the recommended resolution).how can i fix that. Intel says that it supports 2 hd displays.....HOW?????

Are the Intel HDxxxx graphics drivers actually installed and working? Microsoft's generic VGA drivers (what gets used by default when no valid hardware-accelerated drivers are available) only go up to 1280x1024.
