Two Noctua CPU cooler questions

Ok so my first is for nh-d14 and nh-d15 cpu coolers. I know the fans should point in the same direction for air flow facing the back exhaust fan on the case and one fan should go in the middle (unless someone thinks differently). I want to know if the second fan should go on the back pushing air towards the middle fan, or should it go on the front pulling air from the middle fan?

My second question is about the Noctua NH-U9B SE2. Should the fans be facing the same direction for air flow towards the back exhaust fan in the case? Or should the airflow from both fans be facing inwards towards the cooler?

On the 14/15 the "1st" fan is a 1st fan it blows into the middle fan. However you could put it on the other side if you had to, but this would not be normal.

On the 9, the blow through it in the same direction exhuasting. They do not blow towards the center.

Both fans on both coolers should face the same direction, towards the rear exhaust of the case. Only exception to that would be if you somehow had your case configured that the air cooler would be facing the top of the case and exhaust through the top fans.
