[SOLVED] Is it possible to install Gigabyte's driver on a Dell hardware?

My brother has an Optiplex 755 (Q35) and he is facing some serious audio problems. Like when he scrolls through a web page while an MP3 File is running in the background; the audio starts to break a bit. It's only for a few milliseconds but the stutter is there and is really annoying. And some games also lag a LOT during cutscenes.

I looked into it; and turns out he's running a generic audio driver from Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit). So naturally; I visited Dell's website to download the latest driver but it turns out... Dell only supports 755 upto Windows Visa 64-Bit. And when I tried to install that driver; it instantly gave me a BSOD and kept crashing Windows in the boot-up until I disabled the audio port from BIOS, booted in Safe Mode and uninstalled the driver.

Anyhow, he doesn't want Vista on his PC, for 'obvious reasons' :)D) so... My only option was to look elsewhere for a solution. And that's when I stumbled upon this:

This Gigabyte Q35 Mobo seems to have the SAME audio chip as my brother's 755 (Realtek Audio) and it supports upto Windows 10 Professional but... After that bloody BSOD fiasco (Took me a whole hour to figure out a solution!); I'm scared!

So... Should I do it or am I better off telling my poor little brother to deal with it?!

Thanks!

If it's running a Realtek Audio chip, you could just go directly to Realtek and see if they have a driver for it. Dell customizes a lot of things, so if you're going to try a 3rd party driver you might want to just go straight to the source.
