First PC build so sorry if I sound noob...but I tried to do a dry run before installing the parts into my case and the MOBO doesn't seem to be powering up. I've got:

MOBO: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 3.2 GHz 8-Core
RAM: V-Color SKYWALKER PRISM RGB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200

All set up w/ stock cooler for CPU. When I use the Detection Tool provided w/ my PSU, it seems to be running fine. However, once I connect the 24-pin cable and CPU cable to the MOBO it no longer seems to turn on.

Looking for any advice as I've already watched all the YouTube videos available and can't figure it out :) much appreciated!

Wow. That must have taken a REALLY long time. LOL.

Just kidding. What are you using to switch the system on if it's not installed in the case? Are you jumping terminals on the motherboard?

Might want to double check that you are in fact jumping the right terminals if so, and if not, hmmm, that might be it's own problem.

Are you getting nothing, no lights, no fans, nada?

I figured it out...it was something stupid which I knew would be the case! After reading the manual again it hit me that I hadn’t connected the cables from the case (I was trying to do a dry run w/o the case but then realized I needed a way to turn the MOBO on
