Any insights or recommendation on how to reformat the file tables / registry on these drives 1TB higher than they are registering would be appreciation, they are basically new drives.

This is my first post but I've used and loved Toms Hardware for many years,
thank you to all the contributors.

Solution
Commandline
Diskpart
clean/all

That will completely wipe the drive and all formatting.
Then, in Disk Management, Initialize, New Simple Volume, Format, and give it a drive letter.

thank you @USAFRet, I have tried it and it is still under registering, is it possible that maybe some physical plates are malfunctioning in the drive? seems odd each drive is registering as 1TB less.

Curious. Makes me wonder how these HDDs would appear to a non-Windows system. I would boot with a live Linux distro (CD/DVD or thumb drive) and run the included disk utility (likely gparted or similar) to see how it identifies the partitions on the HDD. I would also use to remove all of those partitions.

Hi Guys.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, I tired HDAT2 on HirenbootCD which didn't have the HPA feature so I downloading the latest HDAT2 and made a dosboot usb with it on in a sub folder.

After opening HDAT2 I was able to locate the drive and recover the missing space on the drive.

Here is a screenshot of the process if anyone is interested.

Thank you so much for the help you have saved me 5 TB so far and I'm sure a load more in the future.
