Newbie here hoping you can help. I've attempted to build a pc.
Asrock B450M-HDV atx amv Motherboard
Ryzen 3 2200 3.5 processor
1 x 16gb Corsair vengeance ddr4 ram
Cooler master master box e300l
It won't post. Both the fan for the cpu and the fan for Tower spin when I press the power button. Oh and the power button works but won't power off the pc no matter how long you hold it.
I've taken the battery out and reset the bios. I've attempted to power up the Motherboard out of the chassis on an anti static bag to ensure it wasn't shorting, still no joy.
I've removed the memory, and all connections other than the power button and heat sync fan.
I've tried with and without heat sync, I've tried hdmi and vga (there is no additional graphics card to use).
Nothing appears on screen, no motherboard lights anywhere, no noises.
This is my second motherboard in a week (as the previous one behaved in exactly the same way and I believed at the time it was faulty).
All components are new. I have followed various threads here and ran through several checks hence the previous steps.
All I can say is the cpu gets hot (if the heat sync isn't attached) and the fans spin.... That's it.
So at this point I'm thinking it may be a faulty ryzen cpu or maybe a bios issue but I believe this Motherboard should be fine... But I dunno.
Any help, greatly appreciated.
