Hi, I live in Eastern Europe (Moldova) and would like to purchase a new computer. Shipping from the US or EU countries can cost up to 75% of the computer itself, so buying locally would be my best bet.

It all comes down to these two computers:

I need a new computer for gaming, recording and video editing. On one side I need more fps, but on the other I need to be able to stream and edit well.

For reference: 1 USD = 17.26 MDL

Your help is appreciated.

I should probably add that some sites like Amazon and Newegg refuse to ship hardware electronics to Moldova. Otherwise, I'd order from Newegg.

Had it just been for gaming the i5-8400 system would be preferable. But with the other things, if multi-tasking, then it would favour the Ryzen 5 1600. You'd need to consider which you want to prioritise.

The Ryzen build also has a full spec sheet. The only thing it doesn't explicitly mention is the PSU.

Both don't seem to have Windows 10, so you may need to factor it into your budget.

Oh wow, good catch. I'll have to talk to the local DoxyTerra guys about it. Windows 10 is usually pretty cheap in Eastern Europe, but I'm not sure if they have the English version.

EDIT: Pirated copies sold @ stores are cheap, but the official OS is around 200 - 250 USD.

The first computer has an i5 8400 and gtx 1060 6gb.

The second link you gave has a ryzen 1600 and rx 570.

For gaming the i5 PC will be considerably faster.

The i5 will do fine in video editing, but the ryzen 1600 will be considerably better (unless you are uusing Adobe software).

For streaming, the ryzen 1600 will be better since it will provide better quality for the viewer, using cpu enconding.

Also, for gaming and redering at the same time, the ryzen 1600 PC should be better, although I´m not sure because of the weaker CPU.

TL;DR: If gaming is more important = i5 8400 PC (a lot better performer). If productivity and multitasking is a priority go for the Ryzen PC

With GTX1060 or RX570 for only gaming at 1080p it’s not going to really matter which cpu you choose, neither card is really strong enough to show up any meaningful difference in the CPU’s.

It comes down to those other things you listed, that is where the Ryzen 1600 will perform best by a fair margin, especially for streaming. However the 570 is a weaker card and will need a few settings lowered to match the 1060.

As for Windows being $200-$250, why can’t you buy direct from Microsoft or Amazon from another country, like Amazon UK.
