What things should I consider when buying an SSD for my mobo. Or can I just buy any SSD out there. As much as possible I want to get the most advantage.

Right now, I only have 250GB hdd and I'm suspecting that there's something wrong in it. So I want to completely use an SSD instead. How can I transfer the games on my HDD to the SSD. Do I just format the Drive C which contains drivers and windows OS? Then mount the SSD and install the OS in it then transfer the games afterwards?

Samsung 860 EVO or Crucial MX500.

How to use it?
What OS is this?
How old is this install?

If everything is working to your satisfaction, clone the current drive over to a new 500GB SSD.

Specific steps for a successful clone operation:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
This is to allow the system to try to boot from ONLY the SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the 450MB Recovery Partition, here:

I wouldn't recommend a 120GB drive for anything.
Adding games + the OS? Not a chance.

Currently, the Gigabyte 120GB goes for $31USD

A Crucial MX500 250GB is $41USD

$10 difference, for twice the size and better quality, is too much?
