I have a question. I have a VGA monitor that have been using with an HDMI adapter. I am now going to build a PC with a GTX 1060. I would like to use its only hdmi output for VR. My motherboard has onboard VGA. Can I use it for a secondary display?

The system specs will be i3 8100
Gigabyte b360m ds3h
Gtx 1060 6gb
16gb ddr4 2400
I will be using windows mixed reality headset.

Solution
You should be able to do so.

HDMI (GTX1060) to be the primary (Display 1) and VGA on motherboard to be Display #2.

For the most part, right-clicking an open area of the desktop should gain you access to the display settings and options therein.

However, update your post to include make and model motherboard and OS. Need to ensure that the new build is indeed VR capable as you intend/expect.
