hey guys, i am trying my hardest to find out what my foxconn motherboards chipset model, this is what i know, it was a HP desktop pc H61 chipset (Cupertino2)

all i can see is uA TX from the hp website but that isnt listed under H61 chipset models on the foxconn website, my reason for needing the chipset model is because its required on the foxconn website to download the latest bios, ive recently upgraded my cpu to a Intel Core i7 -3770 clocked at 3.4ghz and id like to overclock it as ive read they can be boosted to 4ghz safely, however currently it has the standard HP bios with no overclocking options, ive updated my hp bios first to the latest version but still no overclock options, thats why im trying to get the right bios via the foxconn website but without knowing for sure what the correct one its not a risk i can take, i hope someone can give me the information i need. thanks

Because you had the HP motherboard, you have to find the BIOS from HP, not from foxconn or other sites, that is all you can do. Yes, you can't oc the cpu and RAM from any OEM PC, like dell, HP, they did disable that features, they don't want you brick the MB or damage the cpu, MB, RAM, because you oc the cpu/RAM, in this way they will have less trouble for the tech support.

If even you find the BIOS from other sites, and you force the MB to update the BIOS, you will brick your MB. So don't even think about it. Sorry. If you want to oc, then you have to buy the retail brand MB.

well this obviously isnt the answer i was hoping for, but i guess it is the right one, i have updated my bios to the most recent HP bios but its basically identical to the last, i did however find a intel extreme tuning utility thats allowed me to get it to around 3.9ghz so i'll just settle for that until i totally upgrade my rig, thanks for the response, appreciate it.
