[SOLVED] PC crashes when I run 3D games

Some days it's fine. Some days it'll crash within a couple of minutes into a 3D game. Doesn't crash on 2D games, i.e. Factorio, Slay the Spire. Sometimes, it will freeze silently until I reset it. Sometimes it freezes with super glitchy audio that hurts my brain. Sometimes it just restarts on its own. I've tried reseating my RAM, GPU, and CPU. I'm pretty sure it's not a heating issue, as I've replaced my thermal paste and all temps seem fine. Hardware monitor show normal temps around 55 degrees Celsius max across both GPU and CPU. I've made sure drivers are updated. I'm not sure what else to do. I've most often experienced crashes with Dark Souls 3, but it's happened in other games. I've tried specific fixes for Dark Souls with no luck.

Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 (6 threads & 6 cores)

RAM: 8GB Ripjaws DDR3 (2x)

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Gigabyte

Drive: 1TB HDD WD Blue

Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M (Updated BIOS v. 2101)

OS: 64-bit Windows 10 (Up to date)

Things I’ve tried:

Updating BIOS

Updating GPU drivers

Reseating components

Reapplied thermal paste to CPU heatsink (All temperatures are normal, CPU was initially far too hot, now runs at proper temps)

Changing various in-game settings

Running GPU in debug mode

Verifying game cache

Reinstalling games entirely

Look in Event Viewer and Reliability History/Manager.

There may be some error codes or warnings captured just before or at the time of the crashes. May even be informational.

Or some pattern of logged events that lead to the crashes.

Look and see what you can find.
