or should I also upgrade my processor along with my Graphics Card?

A Radeon RX 580 is on sale at Best Buy right now for $199 and I want to get it since it is VR Ready and because it will come with Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5, and The Division 2 Pre-Downloaded/Pre-Ordered for free.under the Raise the Game Fully Loaded bundle. I really want to replace my GTX 960 card for something that can run 2019 and future games smoother but I'm not sure if my processor will bottleneck it by a lot. My Processor is an Intel Core i5-6402P(4 CPUs) and my approx. total memory is 8GB. If I had more money, I would have gone for something better than a Radeon RX 580 but I'm on a budget right now since I'm spending most of my money on college tuition and many other bills.

Is my CPU good enough for the RX 580 or am I better off upgrading Intel Core to a specific AMD Processor or something better fit for it?

The RX 580 is considered a solid 1080p graphics card. For VR I suspect a more powerful PC would make for a better experience.

Two particular questions I would consider for someone to provide a more comprehensive answer to your question though.

1. What graphics card do you have now?

2. How does your current PC handle the games you play and want to play in the near future?

The first is to see how much improvement you may gain with this upgrade.
The second is to see which upgrade will be more immediately beneficial. (Whether a CPU is worthwhile may be questionable.)

3 things required for your question to answer because only graphics card doesn't give you descent performance following items also you needed to consider.

1. Processor with model number

2. Motherboard with model number

3. How much RAM with DDR type
