Hi Guys

I have 1X8 gb stick of Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8 GB DDR4-3000 Memory - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/TRF48d/corsair-vengeance-lpx-8gb-1-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-cmk8gx4m1d3000c16
AND
2X8 gb sticks of Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/rsWfrH/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-cmw16gx4m2c3000c15

My motherboard is ASUS PRIME Z390-P

This is the configuration i have installed the ram on my motherboard as suggested in mb manual:

Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) on slots A2 & B2
Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) on slot A1
Slot B1 is empty

I am not sure why they are not working together, but when i individually add them pc starts perfectly

Also it works when i add Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) on slots A2 & B2

Can someone help me explain if these ram are incompatible together, as i was thinking they are all DDR4 3000MHZ and from Corsair

Here is the picture from the motherboard manual -

Solution

One thing you could still try, although i think that Supahos will probably be right,is use the RGB Pro in slots B1+B2 and Put the Vengeance on slot A2,see if putting the kit in one channel will help, maybe loosening timings abit might help as well. Think you're at the max voltage for the ram so see no way to optimize that.

Giving the memory controler a little bit of extra voltage might help as well or overclocking the cpu might do the same.

might well be good to read the entire article. ;) Just add 0.05V and see if it will help, don't overdo it,maybe another 0.05V might be fine, but don't go further than that.
