USB WiFi thing works at front USB ports but not at the back ones??

So I recently picked up a USB WiFi Adpater for my PC and it works perfectly fine at the front USB ports however when I plug it into my mobo it has really slow download speeds and limited connectivity, my guess is the PC case blocks signal but I’m not sure can anyone help me out??

That is a valid assumption. Wifi does not like big metal objects in the path. Pretty easy to test with a USB extension cable. I would doubt the USB ports are any different and even if they were they are faster than most wifi connections.
