[SOLVED] Aorus Z390 Master Bios Error Code

Today my Aorus Z390 Master motherboard arrived, plugged in basics, cpu i7 8700k, corsair aio h115i cooler, 32gb ram, samsung evo 860 m.2 ssd, using on board hdmi mobo powers up, fans spin but the internal bios lcd shows error code 1F or so it looks like, theres no beep from the internal speaker, manual shows 1a-2a reserved under error codes.

Any ideas?

Have you connected the 8 pin CPU power cable to the motherboard?

Yes, this board requires 2 x 8 pin, as stated it powers on, but gives the 1F or lF bios error on it's onboard lcd

Any beeps with RAMs removed (ignoring the LCD)?

As stated in OP, there is no sound/beeps from internal speaker

Then board, or CPU. Try inspecting the CPU socket. If pins ok, and assuming that the power supply does work, then I would return both board and CPU to be replaced.

It's not the cpu as it works in my z370-h, Anyone know what the error code means/

According to gigabyte the 1F - OEM pre-memory initialization codes, however I get the error code without any ram,would this be the case, surely I would get continuous beeps indicating memory issues?

If board and CPU working and internal speaker connected, you'd get beeps if no RAMs installed. Since no beeps, board or CPU or both do not work... For some reason.

I just wanted to be sure before rma board, everything in old pc is fine, just the new board isn't

Yes, probably the new board will solve the issue.
