MoBo: ASROCK Z270 Killer SLI/ac P2.10
CPU: Intel i5-6600k
RAM: G.Skills Ripjaws V DDR4-2400 (2x 8gb)
RAM model: F4-2400C15D-16GVR
PSU: EVGA Supernova G3 650w

First time builder. Assembled my PC with no POST and no signal going to the monitor. Ended up bread boarding with just the basics when my motherboard speaker finally came in. I'm getting 3 long beeps meaning there's no RAM detected. I've tried every combination of RAM slots, single and dual, but always get the same 3 beep code. I reset CMOS with every attempt.

Is it possible both RAM sticks are DOA or possibly static damaged? I don't have any extra parts I can test or know anyone with compatible RAM I could borrow. I'd either have to RMA these pieces and wait, or buy new RAM and take the loss.

Seen something online about needing to adjust BIOS settings to take advantage of RAM speeds, but I can't adjust anything if I've never seen the BIOS screen yet. Don't think this is my problem anyway.

Could something be wrong with the MoBo that it doesn't detect the RAM sticks? Is that even possible? Any help or insight into something I may have missed would be great.

What is the memory's exact model (e.g. F4-2400C15D-16GVR)? Check to make sure it is on your motherboard's QVL:

Incompatible memory could cause a no POST. Another possibility is the installed BIOS doesn't support this RAM. Unfortunately, I don't think you have way of checking the BIOS version, let alone updating it. You need working RAM to flash the BIOS.

It is not very likely that both RAM sticks are DOA.

The RAM model is F4-2400C15D-16GVR, and is capable of running dual channel if I'm interpreting the table in the link correctly.

Also, the label on the mobo says the board shipped with BIOS version P2.10, it it makes any difference.

I'll try alexoiu's suggestion next and post a pic of the CPU socket.

Still the same 3 long beeps with only CPU and cooler installed.

I've tried reinserting RAM to no results but I think I found my problem. On the ASRock website for this board, I noticed a footnote on the memory supported that says "**7th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2400; 6th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2133." The i5-6600k is 6th gen, so that makes my 2400 RAM incompatible right?

So I guess I need to get some 2133 RAM or upgrade my CPU to 7th gen. Maybe I can get some 2133 2x4gb just to POST, and enable XMP to run 2400 so the 2400 sticks don't go to waste. Not sure if that's feasible though.
