RTX 2060 worth it?

So, from what I'm seeing, the RTX 2060 seems to be equivalent to a 1070 Ti. The 1070 Ti costs almost 500€, and the 2060 costs 350€. But the 2060 has 2GB less vRAM. Does it make a difference in gaming? Also, would it be compatible with my current specs? Or would it be a better deal to go with an RX 580 8GB for 80€ less?

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (3,85GHz)
Motherboard: Asus TUF B450-PLUS GAMING
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Trident Z RGB DDR4 3200MHz
Monitor: 60Hz 1080p

And a question about ray-tracing. Does it affect performance? Is it only in certain games? Can you turn it on and off?

Solution
-It depends on what you want from it. Yes, the lesser vram may affect gaming at higher resolutions. I'd be worried about new games at 1440 with only 6gb vram. It will be overkill in 1080p gaming.
-Yes, it is compatible with your current specs, although it would probably pair better with a faster cpu.
-The RX580 has the best price/performance for 1080p gaming right now. However, it should be much cheaper than the 2060. It is almost half the price of the 2060 in the US, so I'm not sure it is worth it for only 80€ less.
-About ray-tracing, yes it will affect performance. It SIGNIFICANTLY affects fps in games and will likely only get around 60fps at 1080p ultra with RTX enabled. You can disable them for 1070ti-esque performance though...

Solution
Dont worry about the VRAM. VRAM usage goes up with resolution. For 1440p and below, 6gb is enough. When you get to 4k, then you may need a little bit more VRAM.

As far as worth is concerned, that is really up to the individual. But the 2060 is about 50-60% faster than the 1060/580. So factor that into the price difference. It would be nice the see the 2060 at 299, but its not.
