Hi, I have an i7 8700 and it's getting really hot, I have a stock cooler from Intel, and I get about 50C at idle and 100C when I'm playing a game called Rainbow Six Siege, the game isn't very demanding as well, and I have noticed my CPU usage is at around 20-50 percent but I'm still getting 100C, what is the problem here? My CPU is clocked at 3.2 ghz, the default.

Have you tried vacuuming the dust out of the PC and getting the dust out of the CPU heat-sink / fan assembly? 50c idle seems high. How many fans do you have installed on the case for air-flow? Your saying 20 - 50 % load playing the game and reaching 100c isin't good, you've got some serious cooling issues. Blow out the interior or vacuum, pay particular attention to the cpu heat-sink and fan areas for dust / lint....hope a good cleaning is all it takes
