Hello, I recently upgraded form my old gpu and i am currently not using it. I would like to know if I could utilize my old gpu just to output to a second display (since my new one does not have a second hdmi port and no vga port) without hurting the primary gpu's performance. Thanks in advance.

If you can, get an adapter, it will save you time in a long-run. You can use another GPU for a second display but it will just end up using extra power and you will avoid head-ache with possible compatibility issues.

Thank you for the answer, I could do that but I just thought it would be better to use the other gpu. My system has pretty old hardware in it... Specifically my processor is a core 2 quad Q8300 and a friend of mine gave me a gtx 1050( my new gpu), my old one was a 9500GT. Now I do not know if my processor has enough pci lanes so...
