[SOLVED] Best for gaming (laptops): CPU vs GPU

I am considering buying one of these two laptop options:

A) GTX 1070 Max-Q, 16GB RAM, i7-8750H (6 cores)
B) GTX 1080 Max-Q, 24GB RAM, i7-7700HQ (4 cores)

Option A has worse GPU and less RAM but better CPU, while option B has better GPU and more RAM but worse CPU.

Which one of the two do you guys think is best for a gaming laptop?

Best for gaming in my opinion is B for sure. Better GPU - Thats the most important thing. For gaming is still enough quad core no need for hexa core.

What resolution is each laptop? Generally the after gpu will be better but I’d expect it will depend on the game and you may find in some the better cpu helps.

I’d also like to know what the RAM setups are. Are these systems running dual channel? 24gb is a weird option.
