So i have Asus 970 PRO GAMING/AURA i know i know the fx series sucks but i was having a good luck with it up until a couple days ago when my cpu randomly limited its self to 1.36 GHz at first i thought my Processor was the problem so i put another one in it and the same thing happened does anyone know what could be causing this to happen. Ps i did checks all my cables and the bios to see if anything was wrong there.

Solution
That's too hot for older AMD CPUs. But many utilities don't measure the temps of FX CPUs properly. The most reliable way is to use AMD overdrive to measure thermal margin. If the value gets close to 0, or negative, it's overheating.
