[SOLVED] Motherboards and ram?

I need to get a new motherboard, I was looking at the Asus ROG STRIX Z390-H GAMING LGA 1151 DDR4 ATX Motherboard, under the tech specs and the ram section it says it supports 3000mhz (o.c), what does this mean? Can I use 3000mhz ram with it? Because I already have 16gbx2 3000mhz so will it be compatible?

Assuming the ram you have is DDR4 then yes it will likely work with it. The 3000mhz is an overclock but your CPU/motherboard should handle that frequency with no problems.

You can verify if a memory is compatible by searching for its model on the motherboard's QVL list.

I need to get a new motherboard, needs to be 9th gen compatible and z390 - I have no access to 8th gen to upgrade bios for z370.
