I have an MSI pe60 2qe laptop.I have issues with it during multitasking and gaming in medium to low setting because it will become very sluggish and slow even though i’ve set it to high performance and to use the gtx gpu.Is it because my ram isnt big enough because i notice my ram get filled up rapidly to 95% during gaming or is there something else that slowing down my laptop.

Spec:
I7-6700HQ
GTX 960M 2GB
4GB RAM
130GB SSD
1TB HDD

Install CCleaner free and clean up, uninstall everything that you don't need. Go into update, make sure all the updates go through and finish. Make sure you have no drives/directories Indexed. Using cleaner, check what is loaded on startup, delete Adobe updater, Sticky notes and all that memory consuming gumpf. I assume Pagefile etc is SSD and set to auto etc? Defrag the drive (but not the SSD!)

With only 4GB RAM it's to be expected that your laptop will struggle when multi-tasking and with certain games. As the RAM fills up, Windows has to resort to using the hard drive as virtual RAM and that's much slower than physical RAM, hence the sluggishness when virtual RAM operation kicks in.

Be advised however, you won't be able to benefit from installing more RAM unless you're running 64-bit Windows.
