Hey guys! I'm new here and this is my first post. :)

I'm sorry if I have mistakenly spelled some words, or have a bad grammar, I'm not really a native English speaker.

I recently bought an old Hard drive from a friend of mine it was only $2 (samsung hd502hj 500gb) I was planing on using it for My HTPC that I am currently building. The drive is old but I thought it would get the work done as it only has to store my movies, cause I already have a different HDD for the OS

But the thing is it sometimes click (it only clicks once, and not like the dying hard drive clicking sound) albeit not randomly it only occurs when I'm accessing the folders inside it. and there are no slowdowns or crashes when using it.

So I put on my main rig and I installed My games in it and while I was playing I experienced some micro stutters not game breaking but a little bit annoying, but over time the stuttering lessens and completely faded away.

Now my question is do You guys think that its broken? I mean there's clearly something wrong with it but I'm not sure what.
these are the things that I've done to try and troubleshoot it.|

I already defraged it.

I ran HD tune pro, it took about an hour to complete the sector scan but all went really well no bad sectors were found (.https://imgur.com/rzilptm)

Tried to monitor the usage with task manager and it doesn't even spike to 100% when accessing the folders on that hard drive same with gaming in it.

Thanks for the time that you've spent while eading this, and I hope You can help me as it bothers me a lot.

Those ticking sounds can be expect from those kind of old hard drives but i wouldn't recommend using such thing for play games and store valuable data, if you planing already. SATA 2 drives are not make scene in noways especially when taking about PC gaming but anyway if really wish to move forward with it then you should probably keep a backup of your data.
