Hello Community,

I have just bought a new build 3 days ago....
And it works very well...
But there is one problem...
Which is the PSU..!
It's Cougar GX-F650 Fully modular...

So from the first time i started my PC it started making beeping sounds maybe every 3 min when i first started my new PC...
But now it's beeping all the time....

So what is the problem...
PLZ, Reply ASAP

Thx...

Where is your evidence that that the PSU is making beeping sounds?

PSU don't make noise/spounds other than the their typical fan noises. If anything that is beeping, it is probably your motherboard. You probably set the motherboard to beep when it detectst that something crosses a temperature threshold.

This means you need to identify what is getting warm, and whether you have correctly set your warning beeps.

if you are so sure you know the answer why haven't you got another PSU to test the situation in its place to prove that that beeps are coming from the PSU? Do the logical thing already. You don't need permission to test now do you?

first off, ignore the other guy. From what i understand, it is most likely not the psu. It is (most likely) something wrong with your mobo, or something may be lose. Perhaps try re-seating the ram. Check all cables needed are infact plugged in.
Edit: can i have your mobo model too?

He already said is he 100% sure it is the PSU:
"No i am 100% sure that the noise is from PSU and not the mobo

EDIT: it's like 2/3 short beeps and a long beep "

Who are you tell him otherwise?

Because logically, the psu does not (in any circumstance i have seen) produce a beep. Motherboards, however, very commonly do, for trouble shooting errors. Unless for some reason his psu has that weird feature, i'd bet it is not the psu.
He should check his mobo Manual and his psu manual just to be sure.

Yep, sounds like coil whine. Your options:
1. Leave it, it shouldn't do much except the sound
2. Ask cougar if they will rma it.
I would try 2, even if it ain't coil whine, thats not a good noise. (If it is brand new.)

I thought you did not have another one. Why did you not post the audio link to start with? It does not help you solve problems when you go about lying.

Since you and your friends are the same, and his is quiet, yours is probably not good. You should return/exchange/refund with newegg as soon as possible before that time window expires. This needs to be taken care of ASAP if you care about your money.
