Urgent help with SSD installation

Hey everyone, got myself into a really bad situation with my PC.
Just bought a new SSD to use alongside my old hard drive. I installed it into my PC relatively easily and thought it would work well. When I turned my PC on however it did not recognise that there was a new drive in the computer so I could not access it through the drive management page. I then tried to reboot in bios with the SSD booting but nothing. I even copied my hard drive onto the SSD using software which worked for a short while before the application began stating that their was no second drive.
I then went inside and tried to plug the SATA cables from the motherboard in order to try different slpts however just as I took out the hard drive SATA cable and replace it, I got the ‘no bootable device found’ error message. I then tried bios again and changed the boot to the hard drive and that didn’t work.
Snowballed myself into a really bad situation where now the pc won’t even start. Do I need a professional or is there any sort of fix, even just to get my hard drive back.
Thanks,
Adam

It kinda of sounds like you were plugging and unplugging drives while the PC was on. That is generally a bad idea.

I would shutdown the computer, unplug the PC, disconnect all the SATA devices, plug the computer back in and try to start it. Hopefully you can get to BIOS.

If not, shutdown down, unplug, clear the BIOS (by jumping the CLRCMOS pins for 5 seconds ... general instructions since I don't know what MB you have), replug, and then try to start again. If you still can't get to BIOS, then things have gone terribly wrong.

I can access the bios through f2 however even when I settup my PC as the original settup and restore default boot settings the computer still comes up with the same message.
Even though it is booting off of my previous hard drive it does not work.

Ok, so it seem you have the computer starting again. At this point we need to know more about the computer.

Laptop or Desktop ... brand and model number.
Motherboard ... brand and model if you know it.
SSD and HDD ... which ports are you connecting them to. Where did the SATA cables come from.

Let us know.
