So, for the past week or so, ive been changing parts in and out of my current part list that I will buy for my birthday, and so far, ive been able to get the hang of finding what I'm looking for. Ive even learned quite a bit about building a pc (first build) with all of my looking for parts, and researching how things work in the parts, etc. Anyway, ive noticed that out of all these things, finding the right case (tower) has been the hardest. Trying to match the cpu cooler clearance with the tower specifically. I can not find a good tower, with a 175+ mm cpu cooler height allowance (most important) that takes atx and eatx mobos and also has good built in RGB fans (Second most important, but required, because ive decided I love rgb), so ive come to you, great people of Tom's Hardware. Any suggestions for both the tower and cpu cooler? I can spend up to $140, max $150 on the case and up to $85 on the cooler, $90 max . My current build is as follows (subject to major cpu cooler and psu changes):
Mobo: Asus PRIME Z370-A (rgb lighting)
Processor: Intel I7 8700k
Gpu: 8GB Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE
Storage: HP EX920 1TB M.2 Nvm SSD
RAM: G.Skill DDR4 3200 16 GB (2x8GB) Trident Z RGB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W Smart Zero Fan
OS: Win10 Home (USB)
I have until March 21 to finalize the build, I think i have everything set, just looking for the case and cpu cooler, I thought I had it all, but I really want this build to have rgb, that is pretty much the most important thing for me now. EDIT: The cpu cooler needs to have RGB lighting
EDIT EDIT: If anybody can recommend an rgb cpu cooler that is shorter than 175mm, that would eliminate both problems, cooler must have rgb lighting, have air flow of around 65-85 cfm (if that wording is weird, tell me how to properly say it) and should be less than 175 mm tall (where does it measure the clearance from? The mobo?)
