Hello all. I have a gaming pc that is just over 3 years old. It has been running like a champ for that time. Over the weekend something went amiss and the PC wouldnt power up. So I ordered another power supply and it still wouldnt power up.

you can hear something click in the power supply when you flip the o/- switch in the back. When you hit the power button there is a click and then the system is dead. It sounds like a fuse in the power supply kills it.

The motherboard works. I can boot in with onboard video when I remove the video card. So it appears to be my video card. GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB.

If I plug it in to the motherboard but dont run power to the card the card itself has the Gigabyte light power up from the onboard power. But as soon as you hook the vga power supply it trips the power supply.

It is outside the warranty window so Gigabyte wont help. Any thoughts? thanks!

I have tried different motherboard slots. Different VGA cords. Nada. same outcome

power supply. EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2, 80+ GOLD 850W
