Call me crazy, but I am dead set on getting this MA621P TR4 cooler onto my Rog Crosshair VI Hero AM4 motherboard, one way or another. It fits in the case, it looks fantastic, it was affordable, and it is everything I want for this build. For the love of everything good and power hungry in this world, please please please help me figure this one out. ASUS tech support was pretty clueless, Cooler Master support might as well have not even existed in that they never once responded to my help tickets, live chat, or forum post. I now turn to the rule breakers and enthusiasts to get this rig into operation. Somebody has got to know of some kind of bracket adaption or backplate installation/modification or something that can make this a reality.

Solution has been reached, multi-phase photos in the lower comments. Had to fabricate adapting plates on the front face of the motherboard.

Except it's not a hyper 212- it's a MasterAir 621P that is strictly designed for Tr4, which so happens to have two different sizes brackets for mounting, one of which's screws are wider apart that the AM4 backplate itself.

My apologies for the misunderstanding, I thought you were indicating the stock AM4 backplate. The hyper 212 backplate would for sure be wide enough to support the larger bracket? I've got the parts resting now and it looks like I can pull it off without any clearance issues on the motherboard itself.

That should give you the placement of the holes that's why I suggested it.

As for will this work you're officially waaaaaaay off the beaten path here. That cooler isn't the heaviest cooler ever to hang off a board but I suspect this is uncharted territory I'll be interested to see 1) if this works and 2) how your temps are

Well, I will most certainly be coming back to this thread with feedback after everything is all said and done. I seem to be the only person on the internet right now concerned with downgrading a TR4 cooler onto an AM4 socket.

I guess I might need some more help. Cooler Master is out of stock with the accessories kit for the hyper 212 in EU, and NA won't ship it to my standard residential address as there are "no shipping methods available for it". Where the hell can I find the parts, because Amazon, Ebay, and Newegg don't have them, just full cooler sets.
