My PC shut off and won't turn back on

I know this isn't easy for anyone reading this to see what is wrong but I'm mostly posting to get some ideas of what to check. I was playing a game that is somewhat demanding before my PC turned off. I have a 1050 ti and. Amd i8 core processor. I tested the PSU with he paper clip method and it works fine. My PC was barely warm when it turned off so I'm not sure if overheating was still possible. It seemed fine to be honest. I made sure everything was plugged in properly. Any other thoughts?

If I turn the power switch off then back on it'll turn on for a split second when I turn my PC on. It only does it I do that though.

Thanks

Paper clip test doesn't mean anything.

Having to flip the switch on the PSU is a sure sign it's going bad.

Replace the PSU before it goes and takes something else with it.

So you were wrong. I got a new PSU and it didn't change anything.

That means the other PSU likely fried something like the MB.

It was the most likely culprit, especially given what little information you gave about your PC, nothing but 1050ti and "Amd i8 core processor," which doesn't identify anything.
