Hi folks ! Since I have 1x8gb 2400mhz RAM with a ryzen 5 2400g wich is awful should I rather go with 2x4gb or 2x8gb just to make the sytem future proof ? Im also aiming for higher mhz, 2900 and up.

Solution
If your goal is futureproofing 2 x 8GB would definately be the way to go.

You can either just buy an additional 1 x 8GB 2400 or buy a complete new set of 2 x 8 GB 3000

With Ryzen the 3000 set will offer significant improvement over the 2400, but going over 3000 offers diminishing returns & in general I wouldnt advise it bearing your current system spec in mind.
