My current PC specs are

Gigabyte H110M-H
i7 6700 (non K)
Kingston HyperX Fury 1x8GB 2133MHz DDR4 CL14
XFX RX 580 8GB OC+ GTS XXX
EVGA 600B

and I want to buy another memory stick. Is dual channel really going to significantly improve my PC's performance (gaming wise)? Should I buy another memory of the exact same model (HX421C14FB2/8)? I know I can grab faster memories and my mobo will limit it to 2133 MHz, but everything seems to have higher CAS latency.

Solution
Yes, it is. The difference between single and dual channel is significant, and having 16GB is also making more and more of a difference in performance every year.
Dual channel .vs single channel memory on a system such as your H110 Chipset motherboard has not shown any significant differences.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. There is no guarantee on how other combinations will run if you manage to get the PC to boot up. This includes making such combinations such as same thing, exact match, identical.

You can do your own compatibility testing if you choose to make such combinations with no guarantees.

So, at the moment, buying one more stick would be a waste of money (unless I run something that exceeds 8GB)?
